• Technical Writing: Analysis of a product, including walk-throughs, interviews with key personnel about how the product will be used and documentation of all features and functions for both business end users and technical administrators.
• Technical Training: From a single hour to multi-hour sessions, training spans the gamut from simple walk-throughs to explain how common software and web tools work, to learning a product in-depth and creating an integrated curriculum for a client to train many employees on a new piece of software or a component of a large system.
• Website Design & Development: While flexible to the needs of any given project, website services typically begin with a requirements conversation to determine the scope of your project. Some projects may involve graphic design and walking through iterations of look and feel as well as interpreting that look and feel into cross-browser compatible, standards compliant code. Some projects may involve taking a pre-designed template and breaking it down into its components for roll out in a content management system. We will discuss project scope prior to signing a contract and clearly outline deliverables for your website project.

Pricing:

Fees
For most engagements, a preliminary fixed fee is charged, sliding scale depending on the scope of your project and your overall budget, for an initial round of discovery, solution proposal and planning. Thereafter, an hourly rate is charged, market rate for the type of service provided. Typically, rates span the range between $25 to $60 an hour, depending on the size of the project and the depth of experience necessary to bring the project successfully to market.

Packages
For website design and development, the following packages are offered as a baseline, though specific engagements will be discussed and negotiated on a case-by case basis as necessary. All package pricing may also be considered sliding scale and trade will be considered for small-scale projects.

Basic Web Package – $350

• 1 hour phone or in-person consultation to determine scope
• 1/2 hour follow-up to confirm scope and plan
• Up to 12 hours of design
• Up to 12 hours of development
• Limit of 10 pages per site
• Complete set of assets including cut graphics and tested HTML code delivered as a .zip file
• Short technical document explaining how to implement the code
• Additional hours beyond the package limit will be charged a la carte at a mutually agreeable market rate.

Standard Web Package – $500 and up

• 1-2 hour phone or in-person consultation to determine scope
• 1-2 hour follow-up to confirm scope and plan
• Up to 16 hours of design
• Up to 16 hours of development
• Limit of 50 pages per site with no more than 10 unique page types
• Complete set of assets including cut graphics and tested HTML code delivered as a .zip file
• Full technical documentation explaining how to implement the code
• Additional hours beyond the package limit will be charged a la carte at a mutually agreeable market rate.

Deluxe Web Package – $800+

• Up to 3 consulting sessions to determine scope
• 1-2 1 hour follow-ups to confirm scope and plan
• Up to 24 hours of design
• Up to 24 hours of development
• Limit of 50 pages per site with no more than 10 unique page types
• Complete set of assets including cut graphics and tested HTML code delivered as a .zip file
• Full technical documentation explaining how to implement the code
• Additional hours will be scoped and charged at a mutually agreeable fixed fee

WordPress Package – $500 and up

• Installation of WordPress on your server or hosting setup on Vervehosting
• Configuration of WordPress
• Custom header for a canned template and/or custom design – see Web Packages that may be combined with a WordPress package for an end-to-end solution
• Up to 3 plugin features customized to your theme and fully configured to your specifications
• Additional plugins and features will be charged a la carte in a range between $25 to $100 per feature or charged at an hourly rate depending on negotiation
• Customized documentation for your installation
• 1 hour product walk-through to get you up and running

CMS Implementation – Starts at $1000 and up

• 1-2 hour consultation to determine scope and inform CMS selection as needed
• 1-2 hour follow-up to discuss CMS options as needed
• 1-3 hour consultation with any staff to discuss implementation considerations as needed
• Documentation of requirements and implementation plan
• Creation of a set of content types, not to exceed 10 unique content types
• Creation of a set of templates to reflect each unique content type
• No more than three unique features. Additional features/functions will be charged a la carte
• End user documentation on how to use the system, not to exceed 15 pages
