The look and feel of the St. Mary’s web site had not been updated since 1999 and was using a highly manual process for updates. To relieve a single resource of the burden of all updates and to ensure that updates could be made in a more timely fashion, Beth migrated the site to WordPress and trained a small group of church staff on the tool to enable easy updates. A series of JAD sessions were held to discuss needs for the web site and a first phase temporary site was put into place to refresh the look and feel and provide an easy place for both visitors and parishioners to find important information. The next planned phase includes a full re-design and leveraging WordPress features to provide portal features.
